• How do I register?

  Complete the registration form on this page. You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours with payment instructions. Your seat is reserved upon receipt of full payment.

• What payment methods are accepted?

  We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Zelle, and ACH bank transfer. Payment in full is required to confirm your registration. For group registrations, contact us to arrange invoicing.

• Can my employer pay for my registration?

  Yes. If your employer is paying, contact us at [email protected] to arrange a purchase order or direct invoice. We are happy to provide documentation for reimbursement requests.

• How do I qualify for the group rate?

  The group rate of $2,849 per person applies when 3 or more attendees from the same organization register together. All registrations must be submitted at the same time. Contact us to arrange group registration.

• What is the cancellation policy?

  Cancellations received more than 60 days before the course start date (before August 24, 2026) are eligible for a full refund minus a $200 administrative fee. Cancellations received 30–60 days before the course (August 24 – September 23, 2026) are eligible for a 50% refund or a full credit toward a future course. No refunds are issued for cancellations received fewer than 30 days before the course.

• Can I transfer my registration to a colleague?

  Yes. Registration transfers to another qualified professional are permitted up to 15 days prior to the course start date for a transfer fee of $50. Transfers are not permitted within 15 days of the course start date.

• What if the course is cancelled or rescheduled?

  In the unlikely event that POM cancels or reschedules the course, all registered participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee. POM is not responsible for travel or accommodation costs incurred by participants.

• Can I apply my registration fee to a future course?

  Yes. If you are unable to attend, you may request a credit toward a future POM course. Credits are valid for 12 months from the original course date. Contact us at least 14 days before the course to arrange a credit.

• How many CEU hours does the course provide?

  This course provides 28 hours of AGD/PACE continuing education for dental professionals and 2.8 ASHA CEUs for Speech-Language Pathologists. It is also an IAOM Affiliate Course eligible towards active IAOM membership. Documentation is provided within 2 weeks of course completion.

• What do I receive after completing the course?

  Participants who attend all four days and pass the competency assessment receive a Certificate of Completion from POM. This makes you eligible to apply for IAOM membership and pursue the COM credential. The COM certification examination is administered separately by IAOM — POM does not certify participants directly.

• Is this course approved for 2.8 ASHA CEUs?

  This course is approved for 2.8 ASHA CEUs. Participants who attend all sessions in their entirety and complete a self-evaluation form will receive ASHA CEUs upon course completion. The course is also AGD/PACE approved for 28 CE hours for dental professionals.

• What happens if I miss a day?

  Attendance at all four days is required. Participants who do not attend all four days will not be qualified for a Certificate of Completion or CEU documentation. If an emergency arises, contact us immediately.

• Who is eligible to attend?

  The course is designed for licensed healthcare professionals including Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Physicians (MD/DO), and Dentists (DDS/DMD). All attendees must hold an active professional license in their state of practice. Students and graduate students are not eligible to attend.

• Is there a hotel room block available?

• What should I bring to the course?

  A printed course manual will be provided. We recommend bringing a notebook, pens, and any professional reference materials you find useful. Comfortable, professional attire is appropriate.

• What materials are included?

  Your registration includes a printed course manual. Lunch is on your own all four days.

• Is this course in person or virtual?

  This is a 28-hour in-person introductory course to Orofacial Myology. All instruction, labs, and assessments take place on-site at the Courtyard by Marriott Tarrytown, New York.
